I’m Scared – what is happening with my money?!

The world seems to have gone a little crazy. I went to Sainsbury’s this morning and they are out of flour. What are people going to be doing – baking their own bread?!  And obviously swimming in loo paper!!

As I type, the FTSE 100 has gone from 5,366 this morning to a low of 4,898 and is now up to 5,145. Every hour is different and from where we were just a few weeks ago, it can be really scary to think about. But worry not . . .

Nobody knows what is going to happen with this virus, and nobody knows what is going to happen with the markets.

However, we do know that when the stock market falls that it goes back up again. The only thing we do not know is when. You haven’t lost anything if you have not cashed any stocks / shares in.

We set up your portfolio thinking about your attitude to risk and your goals in life and those haven’t changed. We talked about market downturns and it just sucks that there is one now and it is such a strange one, that we haven’t seen before. A global pandemic. Who would have thought?!

So be brave, do not look at your portfolio if that helps, I haven’t, and just deal with your day to day life. Your investments will go up again!!

Meanwhile, this is what I am “investing” in, because if they close the schools, I will need it!!
