I needed a bit of help from somebody who knew what they were talking about. But that needed to be someone I felt I could trust.
When I first met Madeleine, I was working for Henley Business School in conference and events. We met at a networking event.
I thought at the time, I like what she’s saying, I like her and I could probably do with a bit of help. Like most people, I didn’t really have a clue when it came to my long term financial plans.
She’s helped me with all different aspects of my money; savings, pensions, life insurance. I guess I needed a bit of a financial check-up and help from somebody who knew what they were talking about. But that needed to be someone I felt I could trust and who I could have a relationship with. Also they needed to have a sense of humour, which Madeleine does! Plus talk in language I understand, which Madeleine does.
She opened my eyes to the next 20, 30, 40 years - where my future lay. Was there anything else I should be doing or could be doing for my long-term benefit? There’s so much to consider. So you need someone to guide you through long-term. To help you see where you’re going and where you should be and if you’re doing the right things to get you there.
She’s very easy to talk to, she doesn’t make you feel like an idiot or that you’re asking a stupid question. She has a great sense of humour and makes sure I don’t get bogged down in heavy stuff. And I trust her, I trust what she says and I do what she recommends. I now feel secure about my future because of her.
And if you're lucky, a chocolate biscuit too!!
Whether it’s a tea, coffee or hot chocolate (Madeleine’s favourite), we think a drink and a chat in a relaxed environment is the perfect way to get things started.
