I have been stuck on the sofa for the last two weeks as coronavirus got me. It was horrible and I suggest avoiding it if you can, but I am out the other side.
I am no longer watching Midsomer Murders to try and send me to sleep, but am back to help you through this fun financial time.
Re-evaluate What Is Important
As we are forced to stay indoors and only allowed out for essentials and for our one walk / run a day, I know many people are re-evaluating their lives and what is important to them.
Are you enjoying this slower pace of life? Or is it more chaotic for you as you have the kids at home (home schooling is not fun!) and trying to work around them and everything else that needs doing. On a webinar today I heard the question do you still love your partner đ˛. Or maybe you are reassessing your money and where it all goes with the prospect of being furloughed, or redundant, or just being forced to take a pay cut.
It is a great time to look at your costs and see where you can cut things out and be brutal.  I know that I am. However, I still have to feed the kids so that isn’t an option ….
Do you need the job that you currently have or would a slower paced one be better? It may pay less but does that matter?
Or maybe this has inspired you to retire earlier as you don’t want the hassle anymore and other things seem more important now.
Whatever you are thinking and re-evaluating, if you want to chat this through then please give me a call / email me. My daughter has been Zooming her friends so we could do it too. Or just a simple phone call.
In other news, if you want something horribly hilarious to watch that will make you forget about the world, then I suggest you watch ‘Tiger King’ on Netflix. It is a documentry about a zoo owner in America and it involves animals, drugs and murder, amongst many other things and is so awful it is good.
