This month has been a little crazy with conference season. I have been to three conferences in as many weeks to keep up to date with what is out there and what new ideas there are. Karen also loves it when I come back full of fun new ideas that she then needs to implement!!
EQ Investor’s Sustainability Conference was brilliant and was full of stories about where our money is invested and how the companies are being more sustainable.
Did you know that a plastic bottle can only be recycled twice,
but an aluminium can, infinitely?
One of the companies that we are investing in, Ball Corp, makes the aluminimum cans for Coca Cola (my drink of choice as I don’t like coffee). Coca Cola have decided to reduce their plastic bottle usage, which means that not only are Ball Corp going to be making more money as Coca Cola will need more of their aluminium cans, but Ball Corp are also reducing their carbon impact as companies have to measure their suppliers and clients too, so by Coca Cola reducing their footprint, it directly impacts on Ball Corp.

I have also been learning about AI and how it can make Blueberry more efficient, allowing us more time for the really important parts of our job – chatting to our clients.
