The Important Voice Is Yours!

There’s an awful lot of hot air blowing around, prior to a General Election, isn’t there? The world and its brother seem to have an endless number of views and no hesitation whatsoever about expressing them, left, right and centre! Whilst candidates and contenders all advocate a different, sometimes diametrically opposed, take on things, many of us, the confused voters of Great Britain are of the opinion that none of what’s said can really be relied upon.

We don’t always subscribe to what they’re saying and even when we do, we can’t help but ponder how much talk will be action-backed. I suppose it’s a sad, if inevitable, fact of life that many of us are disillusioned and (perish the thought) believe many politicians are rather more for themselves than they are for us. Even when we feel a candidate has the right ideas and the best of intentions, we have concerns about how long that might last once subjected to the inevitable battering of party politics and contingencies.

Oh dear, do I sound cynical? I probably do and sometimes reflect that maybe times were simpler when the rule of the King was absolute and the people didn’t even expect to have a say. Mind you, I recently visited Hever Castle in Kent, home of Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII’s second wife who, as you know, came to a somewhat sticky end for failing to produce a son and heir. I thought to myself, she might well have appreciated the word of the King not being quite so final.

Where we all do have our own way though is when it comes to management of our finances and the very best advice I can give you on that is to follow Henry’s example and go for the absolute rule. Don’t listen to anyone else, be King or Queen of your own finances and do only what you feel is right for you.The-Only-Goal-That-Matters-copy

Don’t listen to politicians, the news, the man down the pub or any financial newspapers or magazines. Concentrate on yourself, focus on your own particular needs and find a financial adviser who will listen to exactly what you want and help you plan for that. You’re unique, so are your dreams and what’s right for your next door neighbour or your brother-in-law probably won’t be right for you.
