What Next With My Investments?

Posted on:

I’ve invested my money using pensions and ISAs so I’m being tax efficient and it is all in line with my attitude to risk and my financial and life goals. But what now?

Now is the boring bit. You just have to sit and wait and watch it grow.

Remember that it won’t always be a straight line upwards, the world is a crazy place and things don’t always go according to plan. Like at the moment with Putin.

“If I had invested in individual stocks and shares I would be looking every day and reading to find out where I should invest next, but I’m doing none of that. Is that right?” Yes!! “Investing” like that is more like gambling or speculating as sometimes you get lucky and other times you don’t. When you hear your mate at the pub has just earned 60% on an individual share, have they told you of the ones that have bombed too?

“My investments have just dropped in value and the newspapers say the world could end any day – what should I do?” Nothing. You set up your plan at the start knowing this could happen, so now just leave it be.

Investing is all about taking measured risks and buying many stocks so that you are not taken on that crazy rollercoaster ride. It is a more measured approach. One where you can sit back and not look at until your next planning meeting. Safe in the knowledge that you made all of the right decisions at the beginning of the journey and you have a financial adviser who’s always checking out what’s going on behind the scenes too.

But the markets have suddenly dropped . . .  shhhhhh

But the world’s inflation has gone crazy . . .  shhhh

But this one country has just attacked this other country . . . . shhhh

But Trump is President again 😮- shhhhh

But after all of that and you are still worried – call me and let’s have a chat 😊.
